At 11 p.m. on November 15, Korean artist Kim Gil-hu's solo exhibition "Mind Imprint" was held at the White Box Art Museum, his second solo exhibition in Beijing after four years. Curated by curator Wang Chunchen, "Mind Imprint" is a collection of more than 20 shelf paintings created by the artist in the past four years. At the opening scene, many Korean friends came to the scene, and Kim Gil-Hu's status in the Korean contemporary art scene can be seen.

Kim Gil-Hu, born in South Korea in 1961, currently lives and works in Daegu and Songzhuang, Beijing. According to Wang Chunchen, Kim Gil-Hu's creation is also clearly different from that of domestic artists in South Korea. The works in this exhibition are all large-scale, and Kim Gil-Hu introduced that the creation cycle of each work is 6 months to 3 years, and needs to be revised repeatedly. The pictures of cloth materials and mixed materials have the meaning of oriental traditional culture, especially ink painting, and the "sense of heaviness" revealed by the works is also an important feature of the works.

The picture image is mostly related to Zen Buddhism, mostly empty and silent contemplative character heads, or Buddhist characters, or oriental aesthetic girls, and a work that discusses "what is a hero" is based on the classical masterpiece "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", the work is full of the heaviness of life in the quiet, and the hero has experienced too many ups and downs but can still deal with life peacefully. Several of the works are titled "The Hand of Thinking", and one is based on the theme of the Thousand Hands Guanyin, in which one eye and one hand of the bodhisattva coincide into one, which according to the artist means "the unity of mind and hand, the unity of knowledge and action".

According to director Sun Yongzeng, a friend of Kim Gil-Hu established an art museum in Korea for him, and this solo exhibition is also a kind of exchange between the White Box Art Museum and art institutions in Daegu, South Korea. He revealed that in the second half of next year, the White Box Art Museum will recommend an artist to hold a solo exhibition in Daegu, which artist he did not disclose. The exhibition will last until December 12.
